How can I make sure my application stands out?
Everyone who applies is given the same time and consideration. But there are a few things you can do to ensure your application shines. First, do your research and let us know why you’re interested in joining the band. Beyond your resume, you're welcome to include portfolios, project links, or a short note to give more context on your work and interests. Second, pay close attention to our different job descriptions and only apply for the roles you’re truly interested in or that align with your experience.
Can I apply in any other language than English?
We’re a global company, and speaking English is the best way for us to be able to communicate across borders. With this in mind, you’ll need to apply in English and have a good grasp of the language to work here.

Does Spotify provide reasonable accommodations during the application process?
Of course! Please do reach out to your recruiter about any additional needs you may have. We’re always happy to help and will do everything we can to accommodate you.
I’ve applied! How long does it take to hear back?
We try to get back to everyone within a few weeks of applying. With more popular roles, this may take a bit longer. So please, bear with us!
Can I check the status of my application?
We can’t give updates, no. But rest assured, we review every application we receive and will let you know either way what the outcome will be as soon as possible.
I’ve got an interview! What can I expect?
The process usually goes a little something like this. First, you’ll have a video or telephone interview with one of our recruiters, a chat about you, the role, and your background. If all goes well, we’ll invite you for a second interview with one or two members of the team. The final round usually involves meeting multiple band members across the business.
Don’t worry, we’ll let you know who they are at every stage, and well before time. If there are multiple interviewers, one will lead and the others will shadow. This approach allows you to meet more people across the business, and get a good feel for things, whilst also letting more band members be part of the interview process. Win-win.
Virtual interviews?
We are, yes. We’ve got plenty of tools in place to allow for remote interviews, things like Google Meet and Zoom for video chats, and for the more technical stuff, CoderPad and Mural.
Will a virtual interview impact my chances?
No!! We understand that interviewing over video chat is far from ideal, so don’t worry, we won’t sweat the small stuff.
Can I get feedback on my interview?
We know how important feedback can be for ongoing career development, so we’ll always do our best to provide it when and where we can. There may be some instances where giving detailed feedback just isn’t possible, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.
How can I prepare for my interview?
We want you to show us you’re great at what you do. But we’re also considering a few other things: Do your values align with our values? Do you take ownership of your work and take pride in what you deliver? Are you adaptable? Are you collaborative? Are you driven? These are the questions we’ll be asking ourselves as we interview you. Make it easy for us to see how well you answer them.
Does Spotify provide reasonable accommodations during the interview process?
Of course! Please do reach out to your recruiter or recruitment coordinator about any additional needs you may have. We’re always happy to help and will do everything we can to accommodate you.
When will I hear back after my final interview?
We’ll try our best to get back to you within a few days, although this can sometimes take a little longer if multiple candidates are interviewing for the same role. Feel free to follow up with your recruiter after the interview and reach out with any questions you may have.

Does the Work From Anywhere program have guidelines?
Yes. You’ll need to be based in a country where we have an entity. Our roles are generally tied to regions or timezones, and most give you the option to work from the office or at home. We’ll discuss your options with you before you join, and you can always find details of what to expect for your specific role in the job description.
Will Spotify support me with office equipment if I choose Home mix?
Of course. If you choose this work mode, we’ll set you up with furniture and IT equipment so your home working space is both comfortable and safe. As everyone is likely to work from home on some days, we also provide a Work From Anywhere monthly allowance for all Spotifiers, regardless of work mode.
Will I get access to the same learning opportunities if I choose Home mix?
You’ll have access to a range of learning and development opportunities at Spotify. Most courses and tutorials happen online by default to enable self led learning. There are also a range of live and virtual facilitator-led sessions.
If I choose Home mix, will I see my team or other Spotifiers face to face regularly?
Choosing this work mode means you’ll have chosen to spend the majority of your time working at home, and want it this way. We care deeply about our CO2 footprint, and we’ll do our best to ensure you have the tools you need to get your work done where you are, without having to travel, unless of course you need to travel for business reasons.
How does Spotify encourage connection and belonging if I choose Home mix?
We want everyone who works here to feel like they belong, whether they spend the majority of their time at the office or at home. We value active participation and have both virtual experiences and in-person events.

You can do just that. Every twelve months we give you the chance to apply to switch your location or your work mode. It just needs to suit your role and your team.
