Spotify is hiring Backend Engineers to work on the Podsights product. Podsights is an industry-leading attribution platform for podcast advertising. We likely work with some of your favorite brands and publishers and handle over 10 billion events a month.
We are looking for engineers to join our Platform Success department to ensure all Podsights customers are able to use our features to their full capability. As a ‘boots on the ground’ engineer, we will rely on their feedback to improve our processes, engineering practices, and inform product iteration.
As a Platform Success Engineer, you will collaborate with our internal engineering teams and external stakeholders, quickly becoming an expert on our Django backend. As part of a small team, you will have a tremendous impact on the direction of our product.
What You'll Do
- Provide support to Podsights' 200+ customers by resolving technical issues on existing core products mainly using but not limited to Python, JavaScript, and SQL
- Assist customers with Podsights’ technical requirements including website and app pixel installation
- Collaborate with Platform Success colleagues to ensure customers understand technical requirements and resolutions
- Follow Platform Success’ protocols and processes including internal SLA requirements
- Collaborate with key internal partners to determine how we may improve our platform to encourage more usage
- Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problems, creating an awesome experience for our customers.
- Work on what you want during regular hack days and annual hack weeks.
Who You Are
- You have a min 1-3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in technical support and a degree in Computer Science or Experience working with Python or a similar language.
- Working with Django or a similar web framework a plus.
- You have experience working directly with internal stakeholders to understand, document and follow system requirements.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
- You have experience using Asana, Jira, or a similar project management system.
- You love working in an environment where you experiment and iterate quickly, and are able to follow quickly-changing processes and protocols.
- You have experience following and/or writing internal technical documentation.
