The Talk Mission is the team within Spotify responsible for building the best tools for podcast, video, and live creators. We have three platforms that help us deliver a great creator experience: Anchor (the platform that allows you to create, distribute, monetize, and grow a podcast, all for free), Spotify for Podcasters (the platform that makes it easy to understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify), and Spotify Live (the platform that allows anyone to stream and interact with live audio).

What you'll do:
- Build and manage a team of insights practitioners (data scientists and market researchers), tasked with advising and analyzing our Talk-oriented marketing activities
- Build a best-in-class measurement program amongst our creator audience, supervising our development on key metrics over time and the performance of marketing campaigns
- Lead exploratory projects that look to understand our growth and advise new creator acquisition efforts
- Dedicate approximately half of your time as an individual contributor, performing quantitative research that allows us to better understand creators
- Collaborate with our Product and Business Insights teams, providing them with context and expertise with regard to marketing initiatives
- Represent the work of your team to senior leadership in the organization and provide strong people leadership to insights practitioners in your team
Who you are:
- Have a passion and a vision for generating insights for the marketing function
- 5+ years of experience in an analytical role, and a degree in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, economics, computer science)
- Deep understanding of statistics and experience working with real-world data, as well as a strong business sense
- Skilled in the vital analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python)
- Possess strong commercial/strategic competence and desire to work with insights partners across various functional areas
- Experience bridging the gap between quantitative and qualitative data streams
- Thrive in exploratory spaces where problems may lack definition and are able to create a vision and frameworks that guide teams in solving user and business problems effectively
- You're excited about hiring, coaching, and leading a diverse and successful team
- (Preferred) Experience conducting global research and understanding how to interpret data within different cultural contexts
