What if I experience technical difficulties during the assessment?
If your internet goes out while you are taking the assessment or if you accidentally exit out of your web browser, you will be able to re-access your assessment within the link provided to you in your assessment invitation email. What are the system requirements for taking this on a computer?

Why are you using assessments?
We are using assessments for two reasons:
First, because some people may not perform as well as others in interviews, but they may still be a great addition to the band. This is an additional way for people to stand out during the selection process. The logic-based gamified assessment demonstrate how people plan and solve problems; while the 10-question leadership logic assessment measures how people tackle complex and ambiguous situations, and apply new information. The personality measure gives us some insight into the “head and heart” of the candidate; behavioral preferences tell us about their potential to thrive in our fast-paced, global environment while bringing their unique perspectives to add to our band.
Second, assessments are an objective measure of an individual’s behavioral preferences and reasoning ability; both which contribute to an individual’s performance. If we are only relying on what is listed on a resume or what is said during the interviews, we are only getting a snapshot of what people have done previously. We believe in and support the growth mindset, and the potential in our employees. Assessments like these are an objective way to measure this potential.
What if I need an accommodation?
Individuals who need accommodations or adaptations for the assessments can contact a dedicated individual at Spotify who handles all accommodation requests, and are not part of the recruitment process. Note that no one associated with the interview process will know that you requested an accommodation for the assessments; nor will it be reflected on the results that the interviewers see (e.g., recruiter, interviewers, hiring manager).

The assessments are used as just one of many pieces of information on candidates; in addition to resume reviews, interviews, and skill assessments. Overall, it is just a single piece of our overall selection process and is intended to help provide a more holistic view of candidates and how various preferences and talents can add to various parts of the band here at Spotify.
Will I still have an interview/progress to the next stage whatever my result?
Yes, the assessments are used as a supplement to our overall process and do not replace the interview.
